Edutech | Subscription | Online University Library | Perlego
Perlego is an online learning platform co-founded by Gauthier Van Malderen and Matthew Davis in 2017 that gathers the majority of worldwide publications in a subscription model and provides a platform similar to an Online University Library.
It allows students to access the entire library of learning materials in one simple space, from any device, for an affordable subscription fee, publishers to reach a price-sensitive audience through Perlego’s revenue-shared model and gain insights into content usage, and educators to provide quality materials to their students and effectively design and deliver their courses, bridging course engagement across the physical and digital spaces.
Starting with the recent introduction of Workspaces, an all-in-one learning area, the firm is also building a community where information can be exchanged for a more collaborative learning experience.
Perlego currently has 800,000 textbooks from 5,000 of the world’s leading education publishers, including Cengage, Routledge, Cambridge University Press, Elsevier, and Harvard University Press, available in six languages. It now has over 400,000 users from 6,000 institutions in 172 countries.
