Diamond Age: Automation | Robotic Technology | House Construction
Diamond Age is automating new house building for the production housing business through robotic technology, led by Jack Oslan, Co-founder, and CEO. The business has expanded its automation platform by scaling up the building envelope to enable a 2,000 square foot single storey home to be manufactured and finished with their robotic toolset using 3D printing, mechatronics, and robotics technology. Diamond Age completed the first scaled prototype of its technology, as well as a full-scale three-bedroom, two-bathroom house, in 11 months, four months ahead of plan. This led to the company’s first deal, which will be disclosed in the coming days, with a national homebuilder.
Features:
– Automation
– Cost-effective
– Solving Labour Shortage
In retrospect, in 2008, there were more than 3 million home foreclosures, forcing hundreds of thousands of construction workers out of the industry and into new lines of work. In the years that followed, interest rates dropped, new home demand increased, and the home construction industry rebounded.
