Sanctuary Cognitive Systems: General-Purpose Robots in the Age of AI
Sanctuary Cognitive Systems is a Vancouver, British Columbia-based startup that aims to provide general-purpose robots with human-like intelligence.
The company, founded in 2018 by Geordie Rose, Suzanne Gildert, Olivia Norton, and Ajay Agrawal, is working to develop human-like intellect in general-purpose robotic systems that will help us work more safely, efficiently, and sustainably, as well as explore, settle, and prosper in space in the not-too-distant future.
Sanctuary will enhance the efficiency of the work interaction, facilitate humans with dangerous and difficult tasks, create new jobs, provide new opportunities to those who may be less capable of strenuous effort, and mitigate the severity of scarcities around the world by utilizing technological breakthroughs in artificial intelligence (AI), comprehension, and robotics.
In short, the solutions to some of the world’s biggest challenges are within our reach now, thanks to general-purpose robots with human-like intelligence.
